Selena Gomez is not only the most famous person on Instagram but she is also the most valuable person on the social networking site.
According to a recent report released by Puma’s chief marketing department each Selena Gomez’s Instagram post values $3.4 mil for Puma.
“Some of Selena’s posts equaled to nearly $3.5 million in Media impact value per post, whereas Puma’s best performing one only reached $195k said Alison Bringe’, company’s chief marketing officer.
Following the footsteps of Rihanna, Gomez released its first design for Puma back in April and they were sold out quickly.
The Come and get it singer who has 141 followers on her Instagram posted a picture posing in a black sports bra, running tights and sneakers, all sponsored by Puma and it went viral immediately. The picture bagged more than seven million likes and thousands of comments. According to a report a single post from Selena’s account is worth 18 times if we compare it to a post from Puma’s official account.
Selena Gomez who had a kidney transplant few months back will be donating a portion of her earnings to the Alliance for Lupus Research.
That’s not all, she is also doing her best to empower the woman all around the globe. Talking about Defy×SE sneakers she said that “SG” moniker doesn’t just stands for the initials of my name it also stands for “Strong Girls.”
“The whole point is to take the focus away from me. It’s about what I believe in and what I chose to do with the platform I’m given.” She said
Talking about her partnership with Puma she said ‘It’s strong – I never forgot to say the word ‘strong.’ The whole point of my line is for any women who dresses up in athletic wear to feel strong and beautiful.”
